2025-07-19, Complaining about nearby construction noise

Even though it’s Saturday, the construction work to replace the pipes around the neighborhood is continuing. It makes sense, thinking about it, given the days cancelled and shortened from the heavy rain earlier in the week, but it wasn’t what I expected: I was hoping to spend the day tinkering with my writing and code, especially GnoponEmacs, free of the sensory overload. I’ve been enjoying video games, but with the noise, they’re becoming more of an escape than a vacation.
