  • Prefer no allusions unless the piece is in a reflective or essayistic genre.
  • Approved sources for allusions:
    • The Golden Girls
    • MASH
    • Don Quixote
    • The Bible
    • The Quran
    • The Torah
  • Use at most one allusion per 800 words unless the genre definition says otherwise.
  • When used, make the allusion intelligible without external knowledge.
