Depth Alignment is a property: units align their Reflexive Sequences to maintain coherent engagement within the integrated field.

Depth Alignment is induced by the twin conditions Mutual Relation and Field Coherence. Multi-relational units each have their own Reflexive Sequence — their own depth of self-relation, built up through successive Folding. For these units to engage coherently, their depths must align: they must be able to meet at compatible levels of reflexive deepening.

Without Depth Alignment, units at different reflexive depths could not relate — their structures would be incommensurable. Depth Alignment ensures that the relational field’s coherence extends across depth, not just across breadth (which Composition and Chain already handle).
