Evolution is Flow applied to a State — how a State changes over time.

Flow is directed transformation in general; Evolution is what Flow does to a particular State within a particular Profile. If State is “how things are right now,” Evolution is “how things will be.”

Evolution and Measurement interact through Residuation — the same structure that governs Flow and Nucleus, and that earlier governed Implication among Judgements. The relationship between how things change and how things are observed is residuated.
