A Node is a distinct relational unit or composite functioning as a positional element within a Network — a hub or endpoint for relational connections.

Within a Network, each distinct unit or composite occupies a position — it serves as a Node. Nodes are where relational dynamics converge, diverge, or pass through. They are connected by Edges (relational bindings).

Node/edge role invariance ensures that within any Network, the distinct functions of Nodes (units) and Edges (bindings) remain stable under reflexive and meta-reflexive deepening. The positional and functional differentiation of Network components is preserved no matter how deep the self-reference goes.
